✨ field notes for the life you want to live ✨
Learn how you actually work.🌷
Most people think they need more time, more motivation or more confidence to reach their goals. What they actually need is to understand their limitations.

"As someone with ADHD and mental illness, this was by far the BEST class I've taken to understanding myself and learning how to create a process to help me in my creative endeavors. Everything was right to the point and easy to understand… I was afraid that the time of the course would be overwhelming, but each section was short… This has given me encouragement to create and helpful tips on creating a process that I can easily follow."
Okay, real question. Is your brain full right now?
Same, girl. Ask me how I know.
You start with so much energy, and three weeks later it's in the pile with everything else you started (I have the half-used planners to prove it).
If you have ADHD, OCD, anxiety, chronic illness or a disability, or you're a single mom or a caregiver whose days don't have room for a 5am routine, I made this for you.
Hi, I'm Sarah, your neuro-spicy bestie. I've been in recovery for obsessive-compulsive disorder (harm and responsibility OCD), and I have C-PTSD, severe anxiety, PCOS, other chronic health issues, and some physical handicaps. I was born three months early and put in special ed, so I know the underdog story, and I know what it's like when life becomes about survival. I became an art director for big brands, and I'm in the process of publishing my novel, a fictional story that highlights chronic health and OCD. I've helped 8,000 people around the world untangle their pain, turn it into purpose, and make their goals possible around their limits.
Before you plan anything, I want to show you how you actually work: your limits, your nervous system, and how to take small steps anyway.
It's free: a Notion template plus a printable workbook with every page from the series. Never used Notion? You don't have to. Print the workbook and use a pen. The pen version counts, I promise.
Send Me the Free Template 💌Every page from Before You Set Another Goal
Nine short exercises, one for each part of the series. Your supplies: sticky notes, a marker, a plate to trace and your notebook (crayons count). In January, we'll use all of it to map out your whole year around your real life. 🌼
Part One 🌱
What a limitation is
One limitation per sticky note: your health, money, time, support, where you live, the season you're in. Then sort them into two piles, permanent and for now.
Limitations list
Part Two 🔄
The evidence cycle
Why you set the goal and then don't follow through. Trace a bowl for your comfort zone, then stick everything you keep quitting around the outside.
The cycle · your circle
Part Three 🧺
Everything is a project
Three overlapping circles: work or school, life and social, you. The dentist, the new meds and the fifteen emails all go in.
The Burnout Test
Part Four 🪨
Why you can't start
Circle your #1 of the 12 roadblocks, stick it on the edge of your circle, and write what it's protecting you from.
The 12 roadblocks
Part Five ✂️
Make it 75% smaller
Tear a sticky note down to a corner and write the tiny version. Do it, move it inside, and redraw the circle bigger.
75% smaller page
Part Six 🚦
Where your body feels safe
Sort work, money, health, home and the thing you keep putting off into safe, activated or shut down. It's just data.
Nervous System Audit
Part Seven 🌼
Coexistence
Tape in a photo of you as a kid. Write what she was already carrying, and what she did anyway.

Part Eight 🏷️
The labels page
Old labels on the left, the truth on the right. Then color over the left side until you can't read it.

Part Nine 📒
The Evidence Log
One line a day of proof that you did something. Brushing your hair on a flare day counts.

🌷 where my work has been featured
why i made this...a letter 💌
I was a preemie labeled "unlikely to thrive."
Then came special ed, and twelve years of OCD that nobody had a name for yet. I tried every planner and every 5am routine anyway. They all assumed I'd wake up with the same energy every day. I don't. So I'd fall off, feel like garbage, buy a new planner, and start over.
So I stopped trying to fit the planners and built my own.💖
I've shared it with 8,000 people. I use it for my days, my work, and my novel (on a lot of hard days, no joke). It's a fictional story that highlights chronic health and OCD, and I'm in the process of publishing it.
Why wildflowers? They grow in the cracks of hard ground, sometimes where you don't expect them and sometimes where you don't want them. For years, that's how my intrusive thoughts and old labels felt. Learning how I actually work turned them into something I could use. Now I help people do the same: turn pain into purpose.
That's why it's called Where the Wildflowers Grow, and every page of my series Before You Set Another Goal is free inside it.
Start tonight. Grab a stack of sticky notes and write one limitation on each. That's the first step.

You don't need a new planner or a better morning routine this January. Grab a stack of sticky notes and write one limitation on each one: your health, your money, your time, your support. Then sort them into two piles, permanent and for now. That's where everything else starts.
There is always another way forward.

From people using the workbook
When I felt ready the first thing I did was pick up your workbook and review and adjust the plan I laid out all those months ago. You have given me the tools and confidence to start the journey I have been wanting to go on for a while.
Looking back at my life's journey so far and how it created the roadblocks I am currently facing was unexpected but helped in overcoming them.
